Extra marital affair and adultery is just small sin???

Frankly, I am a KCMC member. Since I am very little, I go to KCMC church every Sunday. I can remember very clearly how teachers and pastors thought us to live a holy life, involve in evangelism and offering. When I was with MYF, I was told over and over again by pastors in their sermon that extra marital affair and adultery are not allowed by bible.

I am confused today as I seen some church leaders of KCMC involved in adultery or extra marital affair. One married 2nd wife and he is stopped from being a church leader. I can still accept this as he is no longer a church leader. Now, there is another church leader involved in extra marital affair and still standing on stage as a church leader and even help in Holy Communion. Well, I know this from my CG friends as this is the hottest topic of the year sometime ago. I don’t really care although the leader was once a teacher of mine in Sunday school or when I was told of many more stories regarding many different people. I believed that this will be norm in end time though I surprise that no pastor gave any sermon in regard to this problem so far.

Now it is hard for me to go along with this condition anymore.

I found out recently that my best friend involved in adultery ( basically he asked services of prostitute now and then. I also suspect him meeting a china girl too without his wife knowing ). When I try to talk to him, I found myself lack of persuading stand. Too many real life examples he gave me as support that church and pastors don’t really care about adultery as it is a small sin like lying and not going to church. After several conversations with him, I found myself shaken and kind of agree with him. After all, we single man have our need too. Having so many great examples set in front of us as excuses, why not? If an adulterer can be a helper in holy communion, I guess we who did not and will not set bad example (as we are not leader anyway) can be a little naughty now and then rite?

Yes, I know all this is not ‘right’ yet I am tempted some how. What should I do? Avoid this environment which bring temptation to my faith or join them? What should I do?

Your words shocked me. Since it concerns KCMC internal affair, It will be better for you to email me, instead of discussing the matter over here, alright?
